Hiya! This is the first blog post on this site! I've been working really hard to get not just this working but the entire website has seen a complete overhaul in the process!
I've been avoiding using a Static Site Generator since I started this page basically. I feel like that was probably a good call tbh though because I learned a lot of the basics in the process without getting overwhelmed by nodejs stuff haha.
That being said, I have always wanted to set up this blog so it was inevitable that I have to use an SSG at some point. And if I was going to set it up for the blog, I may as well overhaul the entire website xP
If anyone reading this didn't see how the website originally worked, it essentially was just a single page with an iframe to show all of the page content
It was a little cursed and caused a lot of problems, like how I couldnt link to a specific pages (which I did technically fix with javascript later but it wasn't elegant), wasn't very mobile friendly, and had an annoying double scrolling effect.
So yeah, I decided to choose 11ty since it's the one I know other people I know have been using. I tried a while back and couldn't figure it out but friend 
gave me some guides that really helped me understand the process!
(Also yeah, I like that color of orangy-gray from critter.gay so much Im using it for the background on this page x3)
It's been a few weeks I've been working on this basically non-stop now (probably not healthy, I should go on a walk tomorrow morning) and I'm happy to say that if you're seeing this, the switch to 11ty has happened!
Not only that but I fleshed out all the pages that were basically just plain example text, nothing is in its final state probably but it should all at least be functional!
It was quite the process and it is fucking spaghetti code because I don't know what the hell I'm doing but I'm proud I made it and can keep working on it over time!
More blog posts to come soon! (Hopefully the RSS feed is working also, as I'm writing this I have not actually set that up yet, woops!)
